Why heating

Brood develops faster in the warmth, and tropical species need warmth all year. Place the heater under only part of the nest so the ants can choose a comfortable zone.

How to use

• Check the temperature with a thermometer, as overheating is more dangerous than cool conditions.
• Use a thermostat for precise control.
• Switch the heating off before hibernation and lower the temperature gradually.
